The Bathtub Test

Recently I came across this one from a friend. Try it, see if you pass

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time, and this should help get you started.

During a visit to the mental asylum, a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether or not a patient should be institutionalized. "Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do you want a bed near the window?"

Oh boy!!! Wonder who is normal?? We all are not normal when we are stressed, depressed or moody right. They are abnormal to us and we show in action in different ways.

I do understand their actions are different from us. But, we do deviate and behave different is wat I meant..

when they say "its normal to be abnormal sometimes"... guess at times as this.. "sometimes" is relative to the one who says it and the one who listens to this.. or is ti something else...

hey!..doc.. I want the bed overlooking the beach

Deepa - Glad to know you visited.

You are absolutely right about 'sometimes' being relative to the people discussing it. In a similar vein, could 'normal' be relative ?

...yes... the doc has allotted you the bed overlooking the beach...but then you may have to figure out how to empty the sea. Ready? :)

That was humourous Kumar. Prefer to have a bed near the window. May be it's all the ind to empty the sea too. Deepa would do it:)
